Rapper Khaligraph Jones returns with stunning visuals for his new, melodic track, “Juu Ya Ngori”. The trap-flavoured song finds the Nairobi-based, Kenyan artist rapping in sheng’, the local slang. The record is one of the follow-up singles to Papa Jones’ breakthrough album, Testimony 1990. Interestingly, it comes just after Aipate named him the top hip hop artist of 2018.
“Juu Ya Ngori” is the musician’s statement and reinforcement of his current position; all genres considered, he is one of the top brands in the Kenyan music scene. The music video was done by Blue Ink, the Khaligraph-founded record label through which “Juu Ya Ngori” was released. Watch below
