Hear Holden Laurence sing about “Candy Scented Scars”

Cleveland native Holden Laurence has released an elegant new indie-rock piece that I found so riveting. Called “Candy Scented Scars”, it’s sweet yet melancholic. Written about loving an emotionally unstable person, the song imbues a summer vibe that’s hard to resist.

Besides his moving vocals, Holden also played guitar, bass and synths. He was supported by his longtime collaborator Mitch Kiminas on the drums.

“Candy Scented Scars” was self-written and self-produced by independent artist and mix/mastered by Shane Olivo alongside executive producer Dr. Michael Bell.
