Jagara drops the video for their “Twice” single. The song looks at the breakdown of a relationship and the consequent turning of a lover into a stranger. The visuals follows the story of a man overcoming his inner struggles to a point of eventual re-birth.
Jagara is a trio made up of London sisters. Their music involves a dramatic and electronic sound with an overlay of powerful vocals. There is a discernible infusion of funky riffs that pose their songs as an interplay between 80’s synth electronica and today’s pop.
“The idea was for us to narrate this man’s struggle and his transformation from self-doubt to self-expression, while exploring the pressures of masculinity and the misconception of what it means to be strong. We wanted it to have a raw quality, incorporating the drama and energy of Michael Jackson’s early videos.” ~Jagara says of the video
