Los Angeles singer/songwriter Johnny Gates releases his first song, “Wish I Knew You”. The song has quite a sweet tune and the composition is great. It is one of those records you you add to your playlist.

The artists has a vast experience with music, considering he started his first band while in high school. He then moved to Nashville with the band and later became a songwriter. He is now fully settled in LA and has since been a big performer in the city.

About “Wish I Knew You”, he says:

“‘Wish I Knew You’ was one of the first songs I wrote for the EP. At the time, I was in a situation where I was into a certain girl but wasn’t able to say anything because she was with someone else. I would see the way she looked at him, and I just kind of pictured it being me and knowing the real her. I think we can all agree that being a third wheel sucks.“
