Swedish singer/songwriter and producer Pawl has released his new song, “Belong”. The song arrives having already being added to Spotify’s New Music Friday Iceland playlist. That is huge but for an artist whose “Young & Faded” single already received some praise from The Chainsmokers, this feat is not too surprising. The artist’s sound is a well crafted and balanced fusion between pop and EDM and this new record is a solid inclusion into that electropop bracket. It is a typical love song.

‘Belong’ is simply about belonging – belonging to someone, or belonging somewhere. It’s about loving someone unconditionally and not getting that person out of your head, since they’re always there. It’s also about everything that comes along with that, such as daring to be vulnerable with someone” says Pawl.

Pawl grew up in Uppsala and was influenced by various sounds; his mother’s boombox played mostly Arabic music while his older siblings listened to hip hop tracks.
