Swiss singer Bastian Baker is currently on the road, touring with (and supporting) Shania Twain. Still, that’s not the only thing that going on in the 27-year-old, multi-award winner’s career as he’s just released another song titled “Six”. This new record serves as the second single on his forthcoming, self-titled, fourth album (release set for 26th October).
With “Six”, the singer’s mournful vocals injects a dose of melancholia into the song. The composition follows up the one-week Baker had spent with a girl he’d been seeing on-and-off for a couple of years.
Baker explains: “I was staying at her place and although we had the best time the first two days, it quickly became more complicated. What had happened that week got me thinking – you know how they say that the seventh year is the most complicated year in a relationship? That week I had the feeling that the last 7 days I had experienced with this girl were maybe the equivalent of 7 years in other relationships.”
The musician’s previous three releases have yielded two platinum-selling and one gold-selling albums, plus many awards.
