It’s another great video but even more excitingly, this is another great indie-pop record. The song is called “Dyin’ When I See Ya” by Sleep State, an LA-based band. The outfit is fronted by lead vocalist Troy Ritchie. And behind composition…
“‘Dyin’ When I See Ya’ is about a time that really sucked in my life. Rather than dwell and feel depressed about it, I turned the story into a seemingly happy and fun song.” ~ Troy Ritchie
Sleep State is composed by Parker Jackson (drums/percussions), David Greenwood (bass/vocals), Michael Haua (keys/vocals) and, of course, Troy Ritchie (vocals/guitar /production). Their music is flavored by a blend of singalong choruses, groovy bass-lines and soulful vocals. “Make A Move”, their debut single was released back in 2015.
