“Les Pieds Nus” translates to ‘bare feet’ and it’s a song by French singer/songwriter Suissa. Its composition paints the growing concern over rising environmental pollution. Highlighted above is the record’s cinematic and animated music video, which has, so far, received nominations in a number of music festivals. The Suki-directed clip is simple yet quite illustrative of the song’s theme; it portrays the need for awareness about (and courage to initiate action against) environment-related issues.
“Les Pieds Nus” was composed and sung in French by Suissa, who gets musical support from Vincent Girard (bass), Hadrien Santos Da Silva (drums/percussion), Olivier Soumali (keys), among others. Dressed in an Afro-infused, blues-flavoured tune, the up-tempo track was recorded and mixed by Julien Jussey.
