Aipate brings your attention to emerging South African artist Mitchell Godwin. He has just dropped a new single, “Falling Down”. The beautiful, indie-pop song has fingerprints of love all over it and it finds the singer/songwriter penning a wholehearted piece which he then delivers strongly; his smooth vocals is a perfect fit for the gripping lyrical composition, about which he says:
“…The song’s reference to a thunderstorm is related to the fear and the overwhelming challenges in between us and our goals. Do we hide and let it hinder us? Or does it clean away all of the negativity we experience? The goal of this production is to serve as a metaphor for not getting what we want and the perceived obstacles in our way.”
“Falling Down” and two previous releases (“Gravity” and “Different People”) are sampled below via Spotify. Listen and also, remember to catch up with Godwin on Facebook.
