For his new single “Dividido”, Canadian-Cuban jazz artist Alex Cuba got to work with and feature Mexican singer Silvana Estrada. A blend of jazz, ska, cha cha and Mambo, the record is up-tempo and dance-inducing. Lyrically, it’s a celebration of the differences in human backgrounds and, also, a subtle rebuke of the polarization that sometimes arise. The track was recorded in Mexico City and will be part of Alex’s scheduled seventh album.

Alex Cuba, who is a Juno and Latin Grammy Award winner, first appeared on Aipate‘s radar before we featured his single and video, “El Día De Hoy“. He is currently based in Smithers, Canada, where where he continues to make songs that ignite some type of ecstatic sensation.
