London-based band Kongo Dia Ntotila shares “Kongo”, which is the second single from their upcoming album, 360°. The LP is scheduled to drop on May 10 via Pussyfoot Records. Its first single was “360°”, an instrumental track. “Kongo” carries a heavy afro-jazz influence with a soukous rooting.
Founded ten years ago by bassist Mulele Matondo and jazz guitar tutor John Kelly, the band later incorporated Mbouta Kissangwa (drums), Diala Sakuba (guitar), William Scott (saxophone) and Mike Soper (trumpet). Their debut album Seben Steps To Heaven helped them consolidate their position in the music scene.
