Chicago lyricist and producer Neak has shared the visuals for “Elevation Everything”, the first song on his new album KWESBAAR (self-produced, it is a solid body of work, highlighting his jazz influence).

“Elevation Everything” is the project’s introductory song, and it illustrates the emcee’s emotional state, laying bare his vulnerabilities as a music creator. As you probably have felt in his previous tracks like “For My City” and “B.M.P“, the rapper’s music is introspective and conscious and he maintains that depth with this album.

…this song gives listeners a complete synopsis of where my life has been, where it is going, and how exposing my soul/displaying my humanity is not a weakness; it is my greatest strength as a writer/producer,” Neak says, describing “Elevation Everything”

Influenced by the likes of Mos Def, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Common and Jay Z, Neak’s music is reminiscent of that classic hip-hop era.

You can buy KWESBAAR album on Bandcamp.
