Hear Shaded Profit’s “Letting Go”

It’s time for another throwback release: the song is “Letting Go” by Shaded Profit. This song features introspective lyricism that showcases the emcee as a great storyteller. Shaded Profit (born Edgar Pabon) indicates that he wrote this piece about “learning to let go of painful experiences, whether they be those that affected me directly or whether it be those that affected others directly”. The song carries a soulful edge which gets it to easily resonate with the listener.

Though currently based Atlanta, Shaded Profit is originally from the Bronx, New York. His music embeds influences from the likes of Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper.

“Letting Go” is a record off his debut EP, “Outsider“. His forthcoming mixtape, Halfway to Eden, has been scheduled for release later in the year.
