“Forgot To Be Your Lover” is an energy-filled guitar-driven indie-pop track which is the latest release by Swedish songwriting/production and artist duo Vargas & Lagola. Carrying a hint of nostalgia, the songwriting paints a not-so-rosy love story. “Forgot To Be Your Lover” is a soul-gripping tune that will still get the listener singing along. Musically, it combines elements of folk, Americana and sad pop.

“It’s a story of neglected love, as well as reflection of what love really means if one person drags the other one down in the gutter,” the duo say about the track. ”We wrote it while searching for a melancholic piece in Vargas & Lagola’s musical puzzle. With it, we created our own space to experiment with and express what’s on our minds”.

As a songwriting duo, the two (Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare) did pen hits for A-list artists including Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Axwell /\ Ingrosso and Sia, and in the process bagged a Swedish Grammy.
