UK indie-pop singer/songwriter James Gillespie has shared a new version of his single “Someday Sundays”, a song that was originally released as part of the musician’s debut album Safe. This reworked version features Fickle Friends’ vocalist Natti Shiner and is accompanied by a vlog-style music video which captures moments of James’ entire day.
“Someday Sundays” is a beautiful relaxing song, and about which the singer says: “… is about an escape from whatever is normal. I spent so long living on islands under the sun that when I moved to London I forgot how to get away. Everyone needs space to breathe, travel and escape from their lives. It helps find out who you are and shows you what’s important… turn your phone off… and let it all out.”
This March, James Gillespie — who’s currently signed to London-based Operator Records — is touring the US, and will be headlining shows in New York (on 23rd at Mercury Lounge) and Los Angeles (on 25th at The Hotel Cafe).
