Modeness is a Russian alt-pop duo based out of Moscow. It’s made up of singer/songwriter Artemiy Nik and producer/instrumentalist Rav McCoy — they sometimes work with solo guitarist Ivan Shafrun. The band makes music with a heavy electronic influence, as their latest single “F.Y.L” will properly demonstrate.

“F.Y.L” is an entrancing dark-pop piece with chilling melodies and heart-gripping lyrics. Although ushering in cheerless and depressing vibes, the song oddly talks about love. It is sung in English, with ‘F.Y.L’ being the abbreviated form of ‘feel your love’.
