Over the weekend, 23-year-old Irish musician Conor Mc Quaid (making music as JJ Bloom) made his debut as a solo artist with the release of the single “Always You”. He’d started as a member of the band Dúlamán (who were signed to Sony Germany) and, also most recently, penned a number of songs for other artists. So, him releasing such a good song as “Always You” doesn’t come as a surprise to those who’ve already been following his career.
JJ Bloom wrote, produced/mixed the song. The funky electro-pop track infuses elements of disco, R&B, soul. It’s fun-loving and the Michael Reid-directed clip comes as a proper accompaniment.
