The song “Salt”, and by extension the entire Flood Sounds EP, introduces listeners to the quirky world of indie-pop singer-songwriter Luxtides. It’s an exemplification of dreamy pop with a hue of dark. The intricate piano chords complements the artist’s intriguing lyrics and the result is a song so engrossing. Other tracks on the EP are “Dreams”, “Dark”, “Fragile” and “Echo”.

Luxtides is the new solo project of New York’s Danni Bouchard. Prior to this, she was a member of the folk-pop duo Oh Honey.
