Who doesn’t love it when a song speaks to them so deeply, more so if it’s delivered in a voice as powerful as Whitney Mcclain‘s? Well, listening to “Good With Pain” by the Willamette Valley, Oregon-born singer and songwriter evokes a feeling so affecting. Whitney’s smooth yet vulnerable delivery is reminiscent of the best soul singers of the past decades.
“‘Good With Pain’ is a song about a really toxic relationship with this guy for a couple years off and on. I felt such a deep connection to him that I was willing to do just about anything to stay together even though it caused me so much pain and heartache in the process,” she explains.
The track is lifted off of Letters From A Broken Heart, the new EP by Whitney McClain.
