Up-and-coming Kenyan vocalist and songwriter Sir Bwoy finally released his debut album, Transaction Story. The compilation includes 15 personal songs about his journey, with the title being a reference to the business transactions that have sustained his life. “I used to hustle a lot and preferred to be paid via mobile money transfer, hence the name Transaction Story,” says the artist.
Sir Bwoy, also known as Oliver Tambo, simply describes his style as ‘Afro-music’. Heavy on live instrumentation, this album carries influences of Afrobeat and hip-hop. It saw the artist collaborating with Wakadinali, Dyana Cods and German-based Melissa, each of whom adds a unique vibe to the album.
Recorded over a period of six months, Transaction Story was released on August 31st via the label Zoza Nation.
