Since her 2019 debut, New York City’s Ellas Isaacson has become known for her heartfelt pop songs. Furthering that style is her latest single “Hard Lessons”. This is a pensive, reflective and easily relatable piece about developing within yourself a layer of resilience.

Ella says on the track, “After this past year and all the things we’ve been experiencing as a world it felt right to release this song. We’re gonna rise back up and be a better world, we’re gonna lean into love and not hate, and we’re gonna stand up and challenge the things we feel the need to change; that is my hope that these ‘Hard Lessons’ bring us together and that our pain can inspire us to create a brighter future for ourselves and everything and everyone around us.”

Built around a modern pop beat, the track is filled with emotive melodies which the singer complements with her powerful vocals. “Hard Lessons” is one part uplifting, another part a bop.
