“Serendipitous Maybe” is a funky and nostalgic soul/pop song performed by Raquel Castro. Written together with her friend Zachary Powell and produced by her go-to-producers The Wildcardz (Ester Na and Sadie Curry), the song was released alongside an alluring video shot by Adam Grenly.
Raquel reveals that while writing her lyrics, she was inspired by the 2001 film, Serendipity.
“I always related to the (movie’s) storyline,” she says. “My mother always told me growing up: ‘You are where you’re supposed to be.’ So, when certain things happen in my life or I meet certain people, I truly believe it’s for a deeper reason or meaning. When I was writing this, I remember creating a world in my head and picturing myself in that film.“
