Melbourne-based singer-songwriter SANNIA employs honesty when it comes to songwriting. At least that’s the impression that her 2021 single “Sad Rich Girls” had on me.

With her latest offering, “travelling”, SANNIA delivers a powerful and brutally honest song about being resigned to a toxic relationship.

She explains, “I wrote ‘travelling’ before the pandemic when I was essentially disassociating instead of confronting difficult emotions. It’s about feeling like a passenger in a relationship, you’re just tagging along for the ride, without genuine connection or companionship.”

The soulful alt-pop ballad features a guitar solo by Sannia’s partner Jason Rodi. It serves as the first single from the rising Australian artist’s planned debut album.
