California native Neeley stepped away from her songwriter’s desk to launch a new chapter in her career a couple of months ago. The 21-year-old songwriter’s debut single “27” dropped in May. She then followed up the folk-pop track with a live performance version.

“It was recorded live in 5 takes in a stripped piano/guitar/vocal setup, and shows a new take on a coming of age story in which I innocently bask the gray area of a man’s ignorance VS intention within our age gap. The performance in tender, romantic, questioning, desperate, and above all, the most me I hav ever felt,” Neeley said about the live version.
