Music With a Message are a collective of young musicians from South Bronx, New York City. The group released an album called A Message For Change last year.

“Mother’s Cry”, whose official video was released recently, is one of the eight songs on the album. The smooth track — and by extension the band’s music — infuses choral elements into R&B/soul.

A deeply uplifting song, “Mother’s Cry” is an ode to gun violence and its dire impact on the community.
