20-year-old Boston-native Walter The Producer shared this nostalgia-imbued song,”MUST BE THE AIR”, the other week. The exciting newcomer has a sound so refreshing.

“We made ‘MUST BE THE AIR’ when I went to la to do some sessions,” the artist reveals. “I was linked up with this dope producer Cowboy Lansky and we clicked immediately. I was kinda making a lot of Tame Impalaish/psychedelic rock stuff at the time so I kinda wanted to do something different then what I was doing. This was also the first time I was in la and was super inspired by how chill everything was lol. We started just playing around and ended up with this cool guitar loop we made and then went from there. He had this cool slide guitar in the corner of his room and I was like we need to use that. We ended up coming up with a cool slide riff and the melody and lyrics just started flowing. I ended up staying at his place for about 14 hours until we finished the song.”

Walter is a talented musician. With this, he again showcases his sweet, concoctive blend of indie, disco-pop and alt-R&B
