To close 2023, French-born singer-songwriter elishéva released “anxious attachment style”, a vulnerable ode to self-help.

The Tahiti-raised, Los Angeles-based newcomer says she discovered she had an ‘anxious attachment style’ thanks to Tik Tok, and has since tried to make sense of the struggles she’s faced in her personal life.

She says, “‘anxious attachment style’ is my most vulnerable self admitting all my insecurities and faults. The song recognizes the realization that there’s no shame in having an anxious attachment, and that very confession is healing within itself. I just wanted to put all my insecurities and ‘scary thoughts’ down on paper and hoped maybe I could sing through them knowing I wasn’t alone in experiencing them. I knew people would relate and that was super comforting.

This song was beautifully written and delivered. elishéva’s soulful vocals are complemented by the gorgeous strings.
