Nigerian-born Texas-raised singer-songwriter Ketu unveiled a new EP last Friday. Titled Ano-Ele (Acoustic), this project includes stripped-down versions of the five songs on his 2022 EP, Ano-Ele.

Ketu’s style can be described as ‘alt-R&B’ , with this new EP emphasizing the artist’s tendency to create evocative music. For example, “2020”, the atmospheric focus-track made in collaboration with VITA, is a poignant and moody song.

“I wrote ‘2020’ as a homage to the excitement and hope of a new year and decade, foreseeing it as a pivotal moment for us all. It’s a call to leave our pasts behind and unite, more than ever, in the face of forthcoming challenges,” Ketu explains.
