Australian indie-rockers Psychic Social Club opened their 2024 account with a new single, “Where did you go?”.

This upbeat track and the comical accompanying video are bright and colourful, highlighting the outfit’s charming spirit. Psychic Social Club, who hail from Melbourne, consists of frontman Jared Roscioli as well as Simon Farrelly (guitar), Luke Bratchford (drums) and Chris Baxter (bass).

Despite being upbeat and lively, “Where did you go?” is lyrically thoughtful. “This song delves into the aftermath of a hazy breakup from a long-term relationship, the kind where you’re not quite sure if there’s anything left to be salvaged. Sometimes you’re so sure that two people will find their way back together, but then they don’t, and life pushes on,” Roscioli notes.
