Following her “Down By The River” single which arrived at the end of March, Australian singer-songwriter JEFFE crafted another beautiful song, naming this one “Closure”. An electro pop track infused with indie elements, it is both upbeat and pensive. The singer-songwriter says it came out of a moment of deep introspection.

“I was kind of having a chat to the hurt little girl inside me and saying, ‘hey we got this, it’s going to be okay’. It was an eye-opening moment for me and made me see that I really do have myself to lean on. I began to be grateful for everything I’ve been through, leading me to this moment,” JEFFE says, adding that this song is an ode to “that girl who went through so much and came out stronger at the other end“.

The song is so uplifting, especially considering its message of self-empowerment. I love the honesty in the lyrics, which makes “Closure” so relatable.
