Two months ago, I raved about how brilliant Alvin Weise’s debut single was. Well, his second offering, “Feel the Same”, is just as impressive. It’s a glossy pop cut that was produced by the Swedish artist himself.

“It’s about being deeply invested in somebody who remains distant,” Alvin says, describing the song. “Like trying to carry a conversation with someone who’s constantly looking over your shoulder. They’re close enough to touch, but always out of reach. You’re swimming in circles, trying to make sense of it all. But sooner or later you realize that they’re just along for the ride. No matter how much you give, it’ll never be enough. It’s a lost cause and it’s not worth your effort.“

This year, Weise has a line-up of releases to come, from solo songs to collaborations. I would say these two songs are a great launchpad for a career that I predict will blossom. Find Alvin Weise on Instagram.
