I have always loved Discrete‘s style. The Stockholm-based producer’s brand of house is characterized by forward-thinking production and upbeat melodies.

Continuing with that approach, he recently joined forces with producer Avi Snow and emerging indie singer-songwriter No/Me, both based in Los Angeles, to create his newest track, “Weekend”. The afro-house-influenced song is captivating, despite its broody lyrics.

“Weekend” is about one partner’s unwillingness to commit. Through her vulnerable delivery and backed by somber piano chords, No/Me makes a candid assessment of the relationship. The song is such an earworm.
