Kru has her eye on the prize. As she warms up for the release of a new EP titled Inevitable, the Mumbai-born US-based singer has unveiled the music video for her “Masterplan” single, having released the track last month.

“Masterplan” is a collaboration with producer Cha Cha Malone, and features a verse from Korean-American rap sensation Junoflo. It’s a sultry and charming pop song influenced by 2000s R&B. The video, directed by Mitch Forte, is quite befitting, carrying the same aesthetic as the track.

“I wanted people to feel like they are the baddest, strongest, and most motivated when they listen to this. But if I must be honest, this song was really made for women with the sole goal to empower us, shine a light on our capabilities, and manifest the level of respect we deserve,” Kru says.
