Nashville-based singer-songwriter Leah Mason has finally unveiled her debut album, HEXED. The 13-song LP showcases her melody-driven alt-pop style. It arrived on August 9th together with the music video for title-track, “HEXED”.

“‘Hexed’ is about the moments where it feels like the universe is conspiring against you. There were times over the past year when it felt like someone had made a voodoo doll of me and was just relishing in my misfortune. And as irrational as I know that sounds, this song is really about trying to find an explanation to the insanity of all of these conveniently ‘coincidental’ series of unfortunate events,” Mason shares.

The artist is enormously talented, her polished songwriting and undeniable vocal prowess being brought to the fore on this record. Her unorthodox delivery on “Dime Bag”, for example, helps explain why she has been able to gain a dedicated following in a relatively short time. HEXED is indeed an interesting body of work.
