Out now, desert person is the newly released full-length project from Arizona-based artist Sidney Bird. The ten-track album finds her delving into the various relationships in her life, from friendships and family relationships, to romantic connections and relationship with herself.

For example, on the focus track, “mean girl”, Sidney hits out at adult bullies. She divulges, “I was very inspired by internet trolls and how people can think they can say anything on the internet and it wont hurt someones feelings. I am sick of bullies on and offline!“

Musically, the album combines indie-pop with elements of folk and desert rock. Altogether, desert person is a captivating body of work, and Sidney Bird is an artist who deserves much more attention.
