On the heels of his “Smooth” single, soulful American singer Kenny Sharp returns with “Virginia Slim”.

The new song is taken from his upcoming project, Gold Rush (due Feb 7). It is an ode to his home state, Virginia. Kenny says “Virginia Slim” was inspired by his new love interest, who’s also a Virginia native.

The track’s production tips its hat to the jazzy blues of the ’60s, this style bringing the likes of Ray Charles to mind. It find “Virginia Slim” so cinematic.
