The latest from Nigerian singer and songwriter Teni is a beautiful and reflective pop song named “Money”. It captures her musings on the often discussed relationship between financial success and personal happiness.
“‘Money’ is a very special song. I wrote money at the beginning of Covid, during lock down. The world was shutting down, and everyone was afraid and uncertain. I had just flown back to Nigeria from a crazy tour and all of a sudden we couldn’t go out and people were dying. Almost like the universe wanted all of us to pause and give us a reset,” Teni says.
The production blends pop, R&B and afrobeat, the result being a song with a global appeal. “Money” is out via Artist House.
