Since his 2016 debut, Surinamese-born Dutch artist Jeangu Macrooy has grown from strength to strength, even representing the Netherlands in Eurovision Song Contest 2021, an edition hosted by the nation.

Macrooy’s style straddles the line between soul and pop, as illustrated by his latest single, “Everybody Needs Somebody”. I’ve really enjoyed listening to this smooth rhythmic song.

“Everybody Needs Somebody” arrived on March 7th alongside the announcement of the artist’s first ever show in London, where he will be joining singer Pete Philly and producer Perquisite (more details here).
