For all the praise I gave the singles preceding Avery Lynch’s new EP, Glad We Met, experiencing all the nine tracks left me utterly mesmerized. The singer-songwriter’s intimate style is thoroughly emphasized on this project, each song drenched in sentiment.

The title track “I’m Glad We Met” is especially gorgeous, and so is the accompanying music video. It encapsulates Avery’s piano-driven songwriting, with a layer of strings augmenting the track’s emotive feel.

“’I’m Glad We Met’ is one of my most special songs I’ve ever made,” Avery says. “I wrote the piano first one night and the whole rest of the song filled in around it. I’ve never written about this story until now, but it’s essentially the origin story of me and my boyfriend, Jordan.“
