Retro-soul duo YOUNGTONES are expected to release their sophomore album, Midnight Sun, next year (Jan 16th). They’ve released three singles so far — “Dark Magic” in June, “Free” in July and “Power” in August.

It is “Power”, which is a retro soul anthem about reclaiming your voice, that we’re highlighting today. The song reminds us to take back the power that we gave away (and that it wasn’t necessarily taken from us).

“Power” is smooth and uplifting. Luke Wade’s timeless vocals feel glossy over Matthew Young’s pop-ready production.
