Singer-songwriters Savanna Leigh and Bertie Newman, who are from the US and the UK respectively, joined forces for a duet and the result is “what’s not mine”. The indie-folk piece is really beautiful… and heartfelt.

How did this collaboration come about though? Bertie reveals, “I’d written the bare bones of a song that I thought would sound perfect with another voice. I had been following Savanna for a while and loved her music, so I reached out and realised she was already coming to London to write. We finished writing and recording it there!

The song is about honesty as the foundation of real connection. When it comes to the delivery, Bertie and Savanna were simply marvellous. “what’s not mine” is the kind of song that speaks directly to the heart.
