Acclaimed Canadian artist James Tonic has released a new album, which is the second instalment in his Safety series.

Safety II builds on the success of the first chapter, which dropped last year. “Girl From Hell (Nobody, Somebody)” is the new album’s focus track. This song feels warm, soulful, and textured, and I can’t get enough of it.

Overall, the album is built around a smooth blend of analog synths and live drums, which makes it quite captivating. Altogether, it is a lovely body of work from an amazing musician.

James is signed to Drummer Records, the label on which he’s released his last few album–and he has quite a number of projects to his name.
