The Huntress and Holder of Hands, the musical project of songwriter MorganEve Swain, is readying a new album called Babylon.
Set to arrive on June 5th 2026, this will be their second full-length release–the debut album, Avalon, dropped in 2017.
Out now, “Promethean” is a new single lifted from that upcoming LP. The alternative rock piece gets its ominous feel from the hypnotic blend of unsettling lyrics, heavy percussion and eerie, atmospheric production.
MorganEve remarks, “As punishment for stealing fire and bettering humanity with technology, Prometheus is doomed to have his liver eaten by an eagle every day. We are his decedents, whether societally or personally are we not all caught in some Promethean struggle? And what is there to do but rise with the tides?”
I love this song, its dark vibe and all. Listen to “Promethean” and follow on Instagram or Facebook.
