US duo Hot Mustard have just announced a new album, Monster Season, which is scheduled to drop on March 28th. A newly released indie-electronic song called “Hall Of Giants” provides listeners with a taste from the upcoming project.

“Hall Of Giants” is a funky and boombapy tune with a luxuriant instrumentation, something that effectively makes up for the song’s lack of vocals. The track is super infectious; I find the horns particularly irresistible.

“The music video is the culmination of a style I’ve been developing for many years—assembling film defects, fragmenting animations, and isolating pieces of vintage footage to create shapes and visuals that I find interesting,” says Hot Mustard’s Jack Powell, describing the artistic accompanying visual.

“My goal is to depart completely from the original context of the source materials and transform them into something entirely new.”
