Taking inspiration from classic soft rock, American singer-songwriter Jake Thistle has created a poppy modern sound. Consider his Springsteen-esque new single, “Carpool Lane”, which marks his return after more than a year of not releasing new material. The song a soaring escapist anthem, an absolute singalong.

About “Carpool Lane”, Jake says, “There’s an interesting conflict that sometimes comes with the freedom to escape, it’s an excitement of a new future, yet a frustration of having nothing left to leave behind. The concept behind Carpool Lane comes from this, and the sense that running doesn’t necessarily free you from yourself.”

This track properly highlights Thistle’s lyrical and vocal prowess, which he’s showcased on multiple stages while appearing alongside the likes of Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks and Foo Fighters, among other legendary names.
