Seattle-based pop singer-songwriter Avery Cochrane went viral late last year with her song “Shapeshifting on a Saturday Night”.

Buoyed by the success of that single, the artist is continuing to build buzz for the release of her upcoming EP, which is scheduled to drop on March 27th. The EP is titled Male Validation and Other Drugs, and “Griever” is the name of the latest single taken from it.

To put it simply, “Griever” is an emotion-driven alt-pop banger.

About it, Avery shares: “The lyrics of ‘Griever’ capture the retroactive rage and sorrow you feel after an unexpected encounter with someone from your past who has wronged you. It’s everything you may have wanted to say in the moment but couldn’t find the words to until days later.”
