Barcelona-based indie duo Mona et Toi retuned last week with a brand new single, presenting us with another showcase of their genre-blending sound. Called “Jail Cell”, the new song leans heavily into rock.

The track starts with a mesmerizing riff before incorporating sections of complex rhythms. With its smoothly textured production, “Jail Cell” reveals another dimension to the pair’s upcoming debut album, Mushroom Pillow.

The follow-up to “Nothing Rhymes With Myself”, it brings us one step closer to the raw and explosive album.
