We are a music-dedicated blog but out of interest I did a research on the top Kenyan blogs. The objective was to find out what makes a top in terms of article views in Kenya. Sadly enough, content is not King. Gossip blogs which have category for every news possible, be it obscene or sensationally untrue dominate the top 25. It is all about attracting readers attention. However,  there is a blog that Kachwanya that is dedicated to Tech news and I guess..that’s is a positive sign. That being sad, the top 10 blogs are mostly owned by top media houses in Kenya that is Standard Group, Nation Media Group, Royal Media Services and Radio Africa Group with trhe rest being owned by social media trendsetters and entrepreneurs.
