KOATES shares “Escalators”, their debut single. They are a London-based indie trio. The song comes before their performance at The Great Escape. “Escalators” was produced by Larry Hibbitt. There is a discernible contrast between the song’s upbeat rhythm and the lyrics which talks about a break-up situation.
“This song had been buzzing around my head for a while, It wasn’t until I was going through a difficult time in a relationship that the lyrics flew out naturally, along with JoJo putting himself in my shoes” ~ James, band frontman.
