Two indie-pop groups The Swoons and Transviolet have teamed up to bring us a beautiful, electropop record they’ve called “Lost Frequency”. The soulful song infuses a chill vibe and a pop flavour that is associated with both outfits. The song’s composition describes, according to the artists, the increasing distance and disconnection when a relationship or friendship starts to fizzle out and lose its spark or “frequency”. Written by Matthew Underwood, Tony Ann, Giacomo Timbrello, Benjamin Harrison and Ibrahim Asmar, the track was produced by The Swoons & BAYB, mixed by Ryan Jumper, mastered by Alex Psaroudakis and engineered by Matt Dyson. It was recorded at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles.
